Medicare Advantage Plans
What is a Medicare Advantage Plan?
A Medicare Advantage Plan is offered by private insurance companies to take the place of Original Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans must cover all of the services offered by Original Medicare excluding hospice (which will be covered by Original Medicare if the need arises). These plans generally offer additional benefits such as health and wellness programs, vision, hearing and dental services. Also, Part D prescription drug coverage is embedded in most Advantage Plans as an additional benefit which relieves the need to enroll in a stand alone prescription drug plan. Although all Advantage Plans must follow the rules and guidelines set forth by CMS, each plan will have different out-of-pocket costs, deductibles and rules regarding the need for referrals to visit specialists.
Finding the Right Medicare Advantage Plan
Do not let yourself be placed in the position of having to deal with home displacement for an indefinite period of time due to the enormous replacement costs. Loss due to flooding can be very expensive. A rule of thumb is that each inch of flooding will cost the unprotected over $7,000.
Contact Veritas and receive a thorough education on how flood insurance works. We will review what it covers (appliances and items inside the home) and what it does not (decks and items outside the home).
